Story Lite application software will run as a stand-alone program after installation. There is a Windows, Apple Mac and Linux version.

We also have many example templates, from Adventure and Action fiction to Business and Education presentations, which can also be seen as text on this website.

Story Lite is fully functional with no restrictions. It is freeware rather than open source, in order to keep it simple.

What is it?

A powerful editor with 2D layout ability, to help you compose one or many documents, in one active window view. All content can be exported – published.

A zoomable user interface ZUI (or portable desktop) with always-on active editing boxes or nodes, which can handle rich text (formatted) and images.

The position, scale, and size of boxes, and background and box colors, can be altered for aiding usability by helping memory (positional and color cues). Many other features are coming in the full StoryTurbo version.

StoryLite is (presently) freeware and has been extensively tested to run correctly on Windows, Mac and Linux. The Windows version is made in Microsoft Visual Studio; the other version is a Java program which runs on most computers.
